Of note is the Society for Kids at Tennis which provides free tennis lessons to underserved kids. KATS’ mission is “to improve the physical, emotional and social well-being of children and youth from families facing challenges due to chronic low income or due to cognitive or physical developmental disabilities (Autism, Down Syndrome, Wheelchair disabilities).
Also of note is the South Cowichan Lawn Tennis Club which was founded in 1887!! It is one of the oldest lawn tennis clubs in the world (second only to Wimbledon) and is the oldest lawn tennis club in Canada. Well worth the visit!
